राजस्थान की एंडेमिक वनस्पति प्रजातियां

राजस्थान वनस्पतिक विविधता से समृद्ध राज्य है। जहाँ रेगिस्तान,आर्द्रभूमि,घास के मैदान, कृषि क्षेत्र, पहाड़, नमक फ्लैट जैसे कई प्रकार के प्राकृतिक आवास विद्यमान हैं। जिनमे विभिन्न प्रकार के पेड़-पौधों की प्रजातियां भी पायी जाती हैं। यहाँ मुख्य रूप से तीन प्रकार के वन पाए जाते हैं जो उष्ण कटिबंधीय पर्णपाती वन उष्ण कटिबंधीय कांटेदार वन एवं उपोष्ण कटिबंधीय चौड़ी पत्ती वाले पर्वतीय प्रकार के वन हैं । राज्य के अधिकतर जंगल पहले दो वन प्रकार के ही हैं और उपोष्ण कटिबंधीय चौड़ी पत्ती वाले पर्वतीय वन सबसे कम जो केवल सिरोही जिले के माउंट आबू के ऊपरी इलाकों तक ही सीमित हैं। इन सभी वनों में कई प्रकार की स्थानिक (endemic) वनस्पतिक प्रजातियां पायी जाती हैं ।

स्थानिक वनस्पतियों के विभिन्न पहलुओं की अच्छी जानकारी अवस्थी (1995), भंडारी (1978), शेट्टी और सिंह (1987,1991और1993) एवं शर्मा (2014, 2015) के कार्य द्वारा भी हुई है।

कई वनस्पतिक प्रजातियाँ राजस्थान के थार रेगिस्तान गुजरात और पाकिस्तान  के लिए स्थानिक हैं तो वहीं कई प्रजातियां राजस्थान के अन्य हिस्सों और आसपास के राज्यों के कुछ हिस्सों के लिए स्थानिक हैं। जो प्रजातियां उप-प्रजातियां एवं किस्में मुख्य रूप से राजस्थान राज्य की भौगोलिक सीमाओं के लिए विशेष रूप से स्थानिक हैं उनकी जानकारी नीचे सारणी में प्रस्तुत है:

कई लेखक कॉर्डिया क्रेनाटा को राजस्थान की एक स्थानिक प्रजाति के रूप में मानते हैं लेकिन भारत के बाहर यह मिस्र में खेतों में भी उगाया जाता है। हालाँकि राजस्थान में अरावली एवं थार रेगिस्तानी जैसी प्राकृतिक संरचनाएं विद्यमान हैं लेकिन वे प्रभावी अवरोध नहीं बना पाते हैं। इसलिए राज्य में अधिक स्थानिकवाद विकसित नहीं हुआ है। कोई भी वनस्पति वंश यहाँ स्थानिक नहीं पाया गया है। कभी-कभी कुछ प्रजातियों एवं उप प्रजातियों की स्थिति को स्थानिक नहीं माना जाता है क्योंकि उनकी उपस्थिति अन्य भारतीय राज्यों और पाकिस्तान के कुछ हिस्सों में समान प्रकार के निवास स्थानों की निरंतरता के कारण संभव है। हमें राज्य की स्थानिक प्रजातियों की  स्थिति का मूल्यांकन करने के लिए अधिक सटीक सर्वेक्षण और शोध की आवश्यकता है।
